Her Academy Museum Gala performance lands right before Oscar voting -- and her song is eligible.

Taylor Swift is coming for an Oscar. The pop superstar will perform at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Oct. 17, Variety reports, headlining the starry fundraiser that honors Charlize Theron, Colman Domingo, and John Carpenter.
The timing is no accident. The gala lands just ahead of Oscar voting season. And Swift's "Toy Story 5" track "I Knew It, I Knew You" is eligible for Best Original Song, per Rolling Stone. A room packed with Academy members, an awards-eligible song, and the biggest star on the planet singing for them -- that's not a gig, that's a campaign stop. Expect the For Your Consideration push to go into overdrive.
