Billy Joel, 77, has undergone brain surgery. The singer got a shunt implanted to treat the normal pressure hydrocephalus he was diagnosed with back in 2025, per E! Online. In a new interview, the Piano Man admitted he initially refused surgery entirely. And he told Rolling Stone that performing live was 'causing damage to my brain nerves.'

Joel says he's now following his doctors' advice and prioritizing his health, per Page Six. When he'll tour again? He isn't sure. But the legend wants worried fans to relax, insisting after the procedure: 'I'm not going anywhere.'
