Ryan Gosling is officially riding into the MCU. Marvel unveiled the three-time Oscar nominee as its new Ghost Rider at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. Kevin Feige announced the news from Hall H, per Variety. Gosling himself appeared onstage and said he'd wanted the role for years.

The standalone film is set for 2028 with Shawn Levy directing, per Deadline. It's arguably the weekend's biggest text-a-friend moment: a genuine A-lister landing one of Marvel's most beloved characters in a surprise Saturday announcement, ExtraTV reports.
