The unidentified woman who accused JAY-Z of sexually assaulting her as a minor has formally withdrawn her allegations. She stated in a court filing that her claims are "false". The Jane Doe accuser wrote that "Mr. Carter never engaged in any inappropriate conduct toward me whatsoever," Pitchfork reports.

It's a stunning reversal for one of music's biggest names, ending a two-year legal cloud in the most formal way possible — an on-the-record declaration filed with the court. For JAY-Z, the withdrawal closes a chapter that has shadowed one of hip-hop's most decorated careers.
