Dennis Haskins, TV's beloved Principal Richard Belding, has died at 75. Jay Schachter, his longtime agent, confirmed the 'Saved by the Bell' star's death to Variety. Schachter called it 'a tragic loss' in a statement to TMZ.

Mr. Belding was the definitive TV principal for anyone who came of age with Bayside High: exasperated, endlessly patient, and perpetually outfoxed by the students he clearly adored. Haskins turned a stock authority figure into someone audiences genuinely rooted for. And the affection ran both ways — Schachter told TMZ that Haskins 'absolutely LOVED his fans.'
